Iran Press/Iran news: A flower carpet measuring 1,150 square meters and made with more than 400,000 flower stems in varying colors has been unveiled in Mahallat, drawing crowds of residents and tourists. The display is billed as Asia's largest flower carpet.
Asia's largest flower carpet, an annual display in Mahallat designed to beautify the city and boost tourism in Iran's "City of Flowers," was added to Iran's tourism calendar last year.
The Mahallat county, located in southeast Markazi province, is a center for the production, cultivation and breeding of ornamental flowers and plants in Iran.
