Iran's Minister of Energy meets Iraqi Minister of Commerce

The Iranian Minister of Energy met with the Iraqi Minister of Commerce and the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq in Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

Iran PressMiddle East: Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian, who chairs the Joint Bilateral Economic Commission, and his accompanying delegation met with Iraqi Minister of Commerce, Alaa Ahmed Al-Jubouri in Baghdad to discuss bilateral relations and economic and trade co-operation.

The Iranian delegation also discussed the strengthening and expansion of Iran-Iraq interactions and the two countries' joint commission.

Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian and his accompanying delegation also met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghalib Makhif in Baghdad, to discuss bilateral relations and Iraqi payment debts to Iran in connection with oil and gas imported from Iran.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral financial sector and strengthening Iran-Iraq interactions with the two neighbours' common resources.

Iraq's debts to Iran was another topic of discussion between the two officials.

The Iranian Minister of Energy arrived in Iraq this morning at the head of a delegation and was welcomed by his Iraqi counterpart.
