Islamabad (IP) - The Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune considers the first official visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Islamabad, along with the tense and complex situation in the Middle East, a great opportunity to strengthen cooperation in the direction of regional peace and stability and greater convergence in facing challenges.

According to the Iran Press news agency from Islamabad, Pakistan's "Express Tribune" newspaper wrote in a report on November 4, 2024: "The visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Islamabad is taking place in a situation where the Middle East is involved in deep and complex tensions and on the other hand, Iran and Pakistan, as two neighboring and influential countries, play an important role in creating stability and security in this region.

This report added: Considering the continuation of the Zionist regime's crimes against Palestine and other Islamic countries in the region, the necessity of stopping these actions and promoting diplomatic dialogues is felt more than ever. As a result, Araghchi's visit to Islamabad can be a great opportunity to strengthen bilateral cooperation and improve relations in the direction of regional peace and stability.

The Tribune Express newspaper wrote: Diplomatic sources in Islamabad believe that discussions about the current crisis in the Middle East and efforts to bring the two countries closer together in the face of the crimes and aggressive approach of the Zionist regime will be one of the most important aspects of the Iranian Foreign Minister's visit to Islamabad because Pakistan was one of the first countries that strongly condemned the attacks of the Zionist regime on Iran and called it a violation of the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic.

This report states that Pakistan officially announced that the Zionist regime is responsible for the current tensions and asked the UN Security Council to monitor the "recklessness and criminal behavior" of the Israeli regime.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif went a step further and stated that Pakistan stands by Iran. 204
