Iran Press/ America: Amnesty International in a report said that US security forces are currently unable to prevent the disruption of peaceful rallies, during Donald Trump's presidency in the United States, and the security of protesters and voters is no longer guaranteed.
Amnesty International stated in the report that between May and September 2020, violence and clashes are recorded in 75% of election rallies across the United States.
According to Amnesty International, in more than 12 cases investigated, US police have been absent for a long time or completely not dealt with the issue.
In this report, Amnesty International stated that the main cause of violence at election rallies in the United States is the presence of gunmen.
In the report, Amnesty International advised the US government to restrict the carrying of weapons in public places, parks and polling stations, as well as peaceful gatherings in connection with the presidential election.
Amnesty International also called on US security officials to protect the fundamental right to peaceful assembly.
The United States is currently facing a wave of protests and violence.
In a recent interview, Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, blamed the president's actions for escalating violence in the United States.
In the meantime; the Council on Foreign Relations said some supporters of the president, as well as heavily armed militias, have vowed to resort to violence if Trump loses the election.
The Council on Foreign Relations noted that there are currently about 300 militant groups in the United States.
The US presidential election will be held on November 3.
