Tehran (IP)- Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian that the solution to the Palestinian question involves a referendum and that the Israeli regime does not believe in a two-state solution.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on Monday evening in the webinar of the Doha Forum, referred to the diplomatic proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran to solve the Palestinian issue which includes the holding of a referendum under the supervision of the United Nations.

The Iranian Foreign Minister stated that the Palestinian resistance would be able to continue fighting with the Zionists for several years adding that the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation was the result of 70 years of occupation by the Israeli regime.

Iran's top diplomat stated: "The US stands behind the Zionist regime with all its strength and has offered extensive support to this regime, and using veto by Washington to continue the crimes of the Zionist regime corroborates this fact."

Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs added: "The Israeli regime is occupying the Palestinian land and we believe that a two-state solution will not help to solve the Palestinian issue. In the land of Palestine, only a Palestinian government should be formed based on a referendum, and even the Jews of this region should make a joint decision."

Amir-Abdollahian added: "It is not possible to destroy the resistance in Gaza through war and by freeing the Zionist prisoners. The Palestinian people should be allowed to determine their destiny and make their own decisions about the future of their country. The continuation of the war will lead to the escalation of the situation across the region.
