Tehran (IP) -The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while emphasizing Iran's continued support for Palestine, said that the Vienna talks have not stopped.

Iran PressIran news: The eighth round of Vienna talks on removing sanctions, which began on December 27, 2021, entered a breathtaking phase on March 11, 2022, at the suggestion of EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, and the negotiators returned to their capitals for political consultations.

Since then, the parties have spoken of progress in the negotiations and the reduction of disputes, but the issues of guarantees and the removal of natural and legal persons from the red list and from the sanctions list are still among the cases in which the United States as the violator of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), has not adopted the necessary policy to resolve it.

In this regard, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an interview with a correspondent of the Yemeni network 'Al-Masira', while stressing Iran's constant support for Palestine, said that the Vienna talks are still ongoing.

"The Vienna talks have not stopped, but rather continue in another process to lift the unilateral sanctions imposed on us and through the exchange of written messages with the Americans through the EU representative," Amir Abdollahian said.

Amir-Abdollahian continued: "I think the American side understands Iran's red lines well. We continue the dialogue. Once our agreement is reached, our representative in the negotiations will make the final changes."

In another part of his interview with the Yemeni network Al-Masira, the Iranian Foreign Minister stressed Iran's full support for Palestine saying: "The Islamic Republic will remain a supporter of the Palestinian capital, Al-Quds, in order to establish a unified state throughout its historic territory."

"Praying in Quds is a divine promise, and the blood of the martyrs of the resistance and the Palestinian people has been sacrificed to fulfill this divine promise." he concluded.
