Tehran(IP) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran warned the American correspondent about using inappropriate words; saying that since the Islamic Republic of Iran is a sovereign, legitimate, and legal government, it should not be called inappropriately as a regime.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir- Abdollahian had an interview with American National Public Radio ( NPR).

With the recent riots in Iran, Western media reporters always tried to put the Iranian side on the spot by using words and phrases in interviews with Iranian officials, athletes, and famous figures, who most of the time answer the American and European journalists vigilantly.

In a part of this interview, Amir- Abdollahian told Mary Louise Kelly, the correspondent of American National Radio, who had quoted from a person who said regime instead of "Iran government".

Iran's Foreign Minister said:  First of all, it's not a regime in Iran. We have a sovereign, legitimate and legal government. And therefore, I would like to urge that you also use the correct words."

Kelly answered: "I was quoting someone directly who was speaking to me."

Iranian FM stressed: But the people in Iran don't speak like that.
