Iran Press/ Middle East: In a joint press conference with his Lebanese counterpart, Iran's Foreign Minister stated that we want nothing but the best for Lebanon and said: We encourage all Lebanese parties to speed up the election of the president and complete the political process in this country.
According to Iran Press, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is in Beirut in response to the invitation of Lebanon's Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib to meet and talk with Lebanese officials. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived in Beirut last night as the second destination of his regional tour after his visit to Oman. Upon his arrival in Lebanon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs attended the Al-Shaheedin Mosque in Beirut and also said that Tehran has ideas and initiatives to improve the situation in Lebanon, which he will present in a meeting with the country's officials.
This morning, he also met and talked with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bouhabib. According to the announcement of the Lebanese media, Amir- Abdollahian is also going to meet and talk with the Speaker of the Parliament "Nabih Berrii" and Prime Minister "Najib Mikati" during this trip.
