Tehran (IP) - Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, in a message to the second international congress for honoring Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi said, the Late Misbah was one of the great supporters of the Resistance in Lebanon.

Iran PressIran news: The second international congress honoring Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi, also known as the "Master of Thought", was held with the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi and some thinkers and officials, and military commanders here in Tehran on Saturday.

At the beginning of the congress meeting, the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, was delivered.

In the following, President Ebrahim Raisi also gave a speech, and in another part of the meeting, the message of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, was read.

"Ayatollah Mesbah has a rare and exceptional personality in the Islamic world. Seminaries know him as an innovative philosopher," Nasrallah said in the message.

"He was a pioneer in the defense of Islam and the Islamic Revolution," the message states.

"He used to come to Lebanon and meet with us. He used to go to the border points and talk to the Resistance forces," Nasrallah noted.

"Mesbah was a divine man. His relationship with Hezbollah was very deep emotionally, which he expressed and clarified in his words. He had the utmost support from us," Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah highlighted.

Ayatollah Mohammad Taqi Mesbah Yazdi was an Iranian Shia cleric, philosopher, and political theorist who served as the spiritual leader of the 'Front of Islamic Revolution Stability'.

Ayatollah Mesbah passed away on 1 January 2021.
