Iran Press/Europe: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed that the treaty, expected to be signed soon between Russia and Iran, will encompass broader defense cooperation.
Lavrov said he expects Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Moscow before the end of the year to sign the defense treaty with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Notably, Iranian President Pezeshkian traveled to Kazan, Russia last week to attend the BRICS summit and met with Russian President Putin on the sidelines of the event.
