Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking to Iran Press on Wednesday, Nasirzadeh said, "Recent events offer a two-fold perspective. The Israeli regime aimed to strike both our defensive and offensive capabilities simultaneously. However, they met with limited success. This was largely due to preemptive, effective passive defense we had in place. Furthermore, these operations underscored the homegrown nature of our defense industry's technological prowess."
He added: "Because our defense industry is domestically driven, we had the capacity to replace any damaged components, ensuring uninterrupted production of offensive systems like missiles. However, any strike by the Israeli regime, even against our desert, is an act of aggression against a nation with a rich and powerful culture, and is utterly unacceptable."
Nasirzadeh further remarked, "To enhance border security with neighboring countries, including Pakistan and Afghanistan, we are engaged in ongoing discussions and negotiations. Additionally, the construction of border walls is another measure being implemented to safeguard and maintain border security."
He also stressed that, "According to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, if a country's territory is subject to aggression, that country has the right to respond to such aggression and invasion."
