Tehran (IP)- The Qiz Qalasi Dam, a joint product of Iran and Azerbaijan, which was built on the Aras River, will be inaugurated on Sunday in the presence of the high officials of the two countries.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to visit Parsabad on Sunday to inaugurate a project. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will also attend the opening ceremony.

The Qiz Qalasi Dam, situated 220km northeast of Tabriz, is built on the Aras River along the shared borders of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The dam is the largest and most significant border water project in the northwest of the country, regulating 2 billion cubic meters of water annually.
