Iran Press/Middle East: The conference was held in Beirut, Lebanon in collaboration with the Bahrain Center for Human Rights.
A large number of human rights and social freedoms activists participated in the conference according to Iran Press.
In the international conference, Al-Khalifa regime's methods of suppressing revolutionaries and opposition activists were discussed in detail.
The arrests and unfair trials of revolutionaries and the dissolution of opposition political organizations in Bahrain were among the other topics discussed at the conference.

Since February 14, 2011, Bahraini people have been holding peaceful protest rallies on an almost daily basis, demanding that the Al-Khalifah family relinquish power and allow a just system representing all the people of Bahrain to be established.
On March 5, 2017, Bahrain’s parliament approved the trial of civilians at military tribunals in a measure blasted by human rights campaigners as being tantamount to imposition of an undeclared martial law countrywide.
Also on Nov 05, 2018, Amnesty International criticized Bahraini Appeal Court verdict against prominent Bahraini Shia cleric and two other senior opposition members.
“This verdict is a travesty of justice that demonstrates the Bahraini authorities' relentless and unlawful efforts to silence any form of dissent,” Heba Morayef, Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa director said. 101/ 211/210
