Iran Press/ Iran news: In a statement issued on Thursday, Brigadier General Heidari extended his congratulations to the commander of the Air Force and the personnel of Iran Army Air Force on the occasion of Air Force Day.
Addressing Air Force commander, Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, General Heidari hailed the bravery of the Air Force on this anniversary, reflecting on the historical allegiance of the personnel of the Air Force to the Late Founder of the Islamic Revolution.
He emphasized that this day commemorates the triumph the resilience against both internal and external threats.
Brigadier General Heidari also highlighted the sacrifices and tireless efforts of Air Force personnel in upholding the country's security, emphasizing that their dedication contributed to the realization of the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
"The Air Force plays an indispensable role in safeguarding the territorial integrity and national security of our country," stated the top commander, emphasizing the Air Force's continuous commitment to protecting Iran's sovereignty.
Air Force Day is an official observance in the Islamic Republic of Iran, celebrated on February 8 (19 Bahman in the Solar Hijri calendar). On this day in 1979, the officers of the Iranian Air Force pledged allegiance to Ayatollah Khomeini and the Iranian Revolution.
Iran Air Force Day is celebrated annually on February 8. It is the professional holiday of all those who serve in the Iranian Air Force.
