Afghan security forces have raided a hideout of the ISIS outfit (Daesh) in the eastern Nangarhar province and killed two operatives, Afghanistan's Bakhtar news agency reported on Friday.

Iran PressIran News: Quoting unknown local sources, the state-run media outlet said that the personnel of General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI), or the country's counter-intelligence agency, stormed the hideout of the armed group in Wach Tangi area on Thursday night, killing two ISIS operatives, including a commander of the outfit.

The Afghan caretaker government has considered the rival ISIS outfit as a serious threat, vowing to crush the armed opponents in the war-ravaged Asian country.

Afghan security forces have killed more than a dozen ISIS fighters in operations in the capital Kabul, the northern Mazar-I-Sharif city and the eastern Nangarhar province over the past four months.
