Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Mohammad Eslami said that the government has put the production of 20,000 megawatts of nuclear power on the agenda.
“We have tried to materialize this program in these companies, their design and research have been done, and its implementation projects have started in other sectors,” he said.
According to Eslami, a maximum of 300 people were employed three years ago and today more than 5,000 people are working on these projects.
“We have expanded the capability of our national industry to build a nuclear power plant,” he said.
The AEOI chief also said that irradiation systems were built with the participation of the private sector.
In the first three months of this year, “we built three new irradiation sites, which is considered a very important step in ensuring food security,” he added.
“Today, we have 20 radiopharmaceutical products that are going through their clinical phase, and some other items are also going through the research stages,” he stated.
“We are ready to expand the wound clinics and are consulting with different medical departments.”
The export of knowledge-based companies reached 2.5 billion dollars
Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology said: "The 13th government pursued the policy of developing relations with its neighbors, and in this direction, along with the export of knowledge-based products in 2021 which was 295 million dollars, in three years it increased to 2.51 billion dollars.
Ruhollah Dehghani in the scientific and technological press conference on Sunday stated: "The president had a comprehensive view in the field of science and technology and knowledge-based economy, so in the 13th administration the title of knowledge-based economy was created as a scientific deputy."
He added: "Currently, we have 10,000 knowledge-based companies and 2,000 creative companies, which has grown by more than 70% compared to the previous period. Also, today 390 thousand people are working in the companies, while in 2021, the employment rate in the company was 212 thousand people.
