Iran Press/Iran news: Head of Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi noted that Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani by his own martyrdom, thwarted a major conspiracy to divide the Iranian nation and the Iraqi nation and now unity and coherence is established more firmly than before between the two nations.
He said, "You see, in Syria, there was a war against Syria and many actors were in Syria such as the US and Europeans, but the true defender of the region, fighter against terrorism and servants of the region and the Resistant Front were led by Martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was able to stand up against this massive invasion in Syria and make the enemy retreat.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. 104/219
