Iran Press/Iran news: Participating in the introductory ceremony of new navy commanders in southern Iran, commander of the Iranian Army's Navy, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said on Sunday that following the Leader's recommendations for the development of missile capability, the missile complex now guarantees Iran's security and authority.
He added: "In the past, our missiles were imported, but gradually we were able to use "Qader", "Qadir" and cruise missiles with a range of 300 km, and today I announce that the longest-range cruise missile in Iran, with a range of 1000 km, named "Martyr Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis", will be delivered to the Navy, which will be a great event.
"We will have supersonic missiles in the future, and this is a priority for us," he added.
He also called on Iran's new Navy Missile Commander to seriously pursue the development in anti-aircraft, anti-submarine, and vertical-launch missiles.
Admiral Khanzadi emphasized: 2021 will be the year of growth and prosperity of Iran's Navy, and we will continuously see the addition of new equipment to the Navy.
