West Asia(IP): Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, had a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar about the latest developments in Gaza and the cessation of the war in this strip.

Iran Press/ West Asia: According to Iran press Friday morning quoting from Sama Palestine news agency, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, held talks with each other within the framework of continuing bilateral consultations and efforts to stop the military aggression of the Zionist regime in Gaza.

In this phone call, Abbas said that we emphasize the need to immediately stop Israel's military aggression (regime) against the Palestinian people and prevent the displacement of any Palestinian in the Gaza Strip or in the West Bank, including occupied Al-Quds.

He added: "The only solution to all the escalation of tensions in the region is a political solution by ending the occupation of the Palestinian land by the Israeli regime with Al-Quds as its capital."

In this call, the head of the Palestinian Authority praised and appreciated Qatar for its efforts and decisive positions on the Palestinian issue.

In this telephone conversation, the efforts made with the coordination of the Arab countries to stop the Israeli military aggression (regime) to the Palestinian lands, to accelerate the provision of relief and medical aid and to supply water and electricity to the Gaza Strip as soon as possible were reviewed.

According to Iran press, the Palestinian resistance groups launched a surprise operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Israeli regime on October 7, 2023, which finally ended on December 3, 1402, after 45 days of fighting and fighting. On December 24, 2023, a four-day temporary truce was established between Israel and Hamas, or a pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on the morning of Friday, December 1, 2023, the truce ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks on Gaza. In order to retaliate for the surprise attacks of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" and to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area. 204
