Iran Press/ Iran News: Kianoush Jahanpour released on March 24th, 2020 at a press conference the latest data on the coronavirus tolls for the past 24 hours.
In a daily press conference that was held at the Health Ministry on Tuesday, Jahanpour said that 1762 newly-confirmed cases and 122 more people died because of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) during the past 24 hours.
He went on to say that 8913 people have recovered and discharged from the hospitals since the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran.
Given the latest figures of the Health Ministry, the total number of people diagnosed with the coronavirus has reached 24,811 people, out of whom 1934 people died.
As of Tuesday morning, more than 41 million people have participated in the country's coronavirus screening plan.
More than 15,400 people have died from COVID-19 globally. An estimated 100,000 of the 362,000 people who have been diagnosed with the disease across the world have recovered, according to data collected by Johns Hopkins University.
