Iran Press/ Iran News: Jafar Hossein WHO envoy said that the supply of vaccines is an outstanding achievement, but more important is the vaccination that Iran has carried out one and a half million doses per day; in this regard, Iran is a leader in the region and the world.
Jafar Hossein noted that another outstanding achievement of Iran in providing health is vaccinating immigrants living in Iran, including Afghans; the country's health system has provided vaccination services to four million Afghan refugees regardless of their nationality.
Head of the Parliamentary Health Commission, Hossein-Ali Shahriari, speaking at the national conference in the Razi Conference Hall of Iran University of Medical Sciences, highlighted that the Omicron variant was on its way and could spread in Iran.
Shahriari added that the most critical issue for defeating the coronavirus is to observe health protocols.
He also pointed out that Iran is one of the six countries producing COVID vaccines, highlighting that vaccination was a great work done in President Raisi's administration.
Head of Iran University of Medical Sciences, Abdoreza Pazouki, also stated that the daily injection of 1.5 million doses of COVID vaccine is a source of pride for Iran.
He praised the medical staff and people's cooperation, saying that there is no red zone in the country.
