As the 43rd edition of the Fajr International Flim Festival (FIFF) entered its second day, Tarak Ameeq (Deep Crack), Legend of Sepehr, Sanam (Idol), and Antique were screened after the release of "Sayyad" on the first day.

The Big Picture:

Among the four works, Deep Crack, was kind of breaking conventions in that it was released at Barcelon and Dhaka Asian film festivals; The film's name was "Mirjaveh" but due to some defects, it was not admitted to the 40th edition FIFF in 2022.

What They Are Saying:

  • "Deep Crack," by Arman Zarrinkoub, tells the story of a man who is discharged from a psychiatric hospital. Upon his return, his wife locks the doors and windows, and dark secrets are revealed when a third person enters their home.
  • "Legend of Sepehr," an animated film by Emad Rahmani and Mehrdad Mehrabi, follows the friendship between an Iranian child and a cheetah as they work together to defeat a demon and save their village.
  • "Sanam," written, directed, and starred by Shohreh Rahimzadeh, talks about the events of the Haiqar fire in Firuzabad of Fars Province, southern Iran.
  • "Antique," by Hadi Naeiji, narrates a story about two thieves who happen to visit a shrine and decide to make a lot of money by establishing a fake shrine.
