Islamabad (IP)- Palestine Foundation in Pakistan declared Ramadan as the month of Palestine. As part of this, the "Solidarity with Palestine" conference was held in Islamabad, and attended by religious, political, and social figures.

Iran Press/Asia: The conference was attended by prominent individuals such as the Head of Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen Senator Raja Nasir Abbas, the Secretary General of Majlis Nasir Shirazi, former Chairman of Senate Syed Nayyar Bukhari, Deputy Head of Jamaat-e-Islami Mian Mohammad Aslam, as well as well-known blogger and journalist Nadir Baloch. Other distinguished guests were also present.

Talking to Iran Press, the Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam said, " The current situation of Palestine is in front of us, every year in Ramadan, Al-Quds Day is celebrated all over the world.  Celebrations should be held on this day at the official level, including the Parliament so that we can tell that Pakistan stands by the stand of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah regarding Palestine. I also appeal to the public to fully participate in demonstrations and ceremonies regarding the  Al-Quds Day and consider it as worship"۔

Addressing the participants, the speakers said that the cruelty of innocent citizens is continuing in Gaza, the respect for the holy month is also being violated and despite the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians, the persecution of the Israeli regime continues.

Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Mian Muhammad Aslam, while expressing his views, to Iran Press said, "Israeli atrocities have been going on for 75 years and after October 7th, it was increased, the world colonialism is with Israel and the Muslim Ummah is also. I salute  Palestinians, it has been one hundred and seventy-five days, thirty-two thousand are martyred, eighty thousand are injured, the whole of Gaza was destroyed, and the camps of Rafah border were also bombed, but did any of the Palestinians express their anger? The world is surprised to see this patience, the people of global colonialism are becoming Muslims and the sale of the Holy Quran has increased and people want to understand this sentiment. The Palestinians have won the war and Israel's claim to invincibility has been buried".

A large number of women also participated in the conference and recorded their protest against the ongoing persecution of Muslims in Palestine. Talking to Iran Press, the district leader of Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen, Professor Tahira Naqvi said, " This time Al-Quds Day should be a practical one, we have to wake up now, just rallies will not work.  We have to awaken ourselves and our companions to highlight the message of Al-Quds so that our Imam (A.S) should be pleased with us, God will hear our prayers when we are pure in heart for our brothers. Neither the freedom of Palestine is possible nor the arrival of our Imam (A.S) until we are not practical. First of all, the Muslims themselves have to listen to the voice of their oppressed brothers, then the enemy will also hear it.

Addressing the participants of the conference, the leader of Majlis Wahdat al-Muslimeen Senator, Raja Nasir Abbas, said that the whole world is protesting against the oppressive Israeli regime, the blood of thousands of innocent Muslims was shed, but no practical measures were taken, apart from statements of condemnation from the Muslim rulers.

Talking to Iran Press, former member of Punjab Assembly Shamim Aftab said, " We have been observing Al-Quds Day, but now action is needed, people are protesting in America, which is a supporter of Israel, there was a million march in England and people came to the streets regardless of race and color.  Pakistan has always taken the lead for the issues of Ummah, but why is the government silent this time, what kind of Muslims are we that thousands of our Muslim brothers and children are being martyred and we are sitting silently, this is a problem for us and a moment of concern.

Representatives of different religions participated in the conference and demanded to take practical measures against the atrocities of the Israeli regime. Representing the lawyers community, the well-known lawyer Talat Rizwana Sial told Iran Press, " We are gathered here today for Palestine and Al-Quds but a one-day seminar will not do anything, we need to do something more practical now, the brutality that is going on there is not worth seeing, children are being brutally martyred, women's honor is violated. Seeing the condition of these children and women in media, our heart is so sad that we cannot bear it".The Palestine Foundation has announced to hold conferences throughout the country regarding the Palestine cause in the holy month of Ramadan.
