Moscow(IP)- The honorary doctorate degree of the Russian State University of Humanities was awarded to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Moscow.

Iran PressEurope:  Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, arrived at Moscow's Vnukovo International Airport on Monday afternoon with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazem Jalali, and Andrey Malyshev, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia, to meet his Russian counterpart and participate in the programs of Iran's cultural week in Russia.

Iran's cultural week programs in Russia have been opened from Tuesday with the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

This program will be hosted by the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg after a four-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, will discuss and consult with the Russian Minister of Culture on the development of cultural relations between the two countries on the sidelines of Iran's cultural week in Russia.

The event will include setting up an exhibition of Iran's artworks and handicrafts in the Vodenkha complex in Moscow, performing traditional music with the presence of 19 Iranian musicians and 16 Russian musicians, as well as two joint performances in the form of the National Orchestra of Iran and the Russian Youth Orchestra using Iranian instruments in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Moreover, the screening of Iranian films and animations will be another part of Iran's cultural week in Russia.
