Tehran(IP)- The National Congress of Mirza Khouchak Khan Jangali, a national ever hero of Iran's anti-colonialist movement, was held in Milad Tower, Tehran, with the presence of political, cultural, and artistic figures.

Iran PressIran news:  Attending the ceremony on Wednesday, Iran's Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister delivered a speech and said Mirza Khochak-Khan Jangali was well known in the world.

Touching on Iran's history, Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaili recalled: The Tsarists had advanced their intentions via their elements in Iran, and when they withdrew from Iran, Britain helped Reza Khan Pahlavi to take power in the country through a coup.

Mirza Khochak-Khan Jangali uprising occurred when foreigners were looting Iran and dividing it into three parts for their vested interests.

Also, as the best keynote speaker, the Director of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, said enemies tried to suppress the national heroic movements in the country by killing big men like Mirza Khouchak-Khan Jangali, but they failed.

Expressing his respect to Mirza Khochak-Khan Jangali, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel added: He is one of the most prominent national figures who sacrificed his life defending the country.

He concluded: We should not let enemies interfere in our affairs and remind our children how the country has been saved by big Iranian men who sacrificed their lives throughout history.
