In the ongoing para-athletics events at the Paralympic Games, Iranian athlete Hassan Bajolund secured a silver medal in the F11 discus throw, while his teammate Mehdi Olad finished in fourth place.

Iran PressEurope:   The F11 discus throw competition took place today at the Stade de France, featuring two representatives from Iran: Bajolvand and Olad. Bajolund made an impressive showing, starting with a throw of 37.24 meters in his first attempt. He improved to 41.75 meters in his second attempt, followed by throws of 36.89 meters, a foul, 39.26 meters, and finally 40.44 meters. With a best mark of 41.75 meters, he earned the silver medal.

Olad's performance included a first throw of 27.22 meters, followed by a foul in his second attempt when he hit the net. He managed a throw of 33.02 meters in his third attempt, which was also ruled a foul. His fourth attempt was rejected, but he rebounded with a 39.51-meter throw in the fifth round.

He concluded with a throw of 36.23 meters in his sixth attempt, finishing with a total distance of 39.15 meters, placing him fourth overall.

At the end of the F11 discus throw competition, Italy's Uny Tapia claimed the gold medal with a throw of 41.92 meters, while Spain's Alvaro de la Mocano took home the bronze with a throw of 39.6 meters.
