Iran Press/Iran news: "You saw that the US aggressors unveiled their plan -- the so-called 'Deal of the Century'. They have wishfully chosen a fancy name for it hoping to achieve it, but this plan is stupid, a sign of viciousness and detrimental to themselves since day one," Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday.
Speaking in a meeting with thousands of people on Wednesday, ahead of the 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution, the Leader added: "The American plot of the 'Deal of the Century' will die before Trump dies. This plan is foolish because it will definitely NOT have any results. It is foolish to come and sit, spend money, invite, create an uproar, and unveil a plan that will certainly not work."
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "Moreover, this plan is indicative of America's viciousness and manipulation. They have come to negotiate with the Zionists over what belongs to the Palestinians! Palestine belongs to the Palestinians. Who are you to decide for the Palestinians ?"
"The ‘Deal of the Century’ has hurt themselves since day one. The Arrogant Powers have tried to make Palestine forgotten. But, their efforts gave the opposite results and revived the question of Palestine. Now the world is talking about Palestine and the rights of its oppressed people," he added.
The Leader continued: "Don't look at the presence of a few, traitorous Arab heads of state for the 'Deal of the Century'. They’re incompetent and have no respect among their own nation. The unveiling of this plan caused Palestine to be spoken about more in the world and revived this issue."
"They will try to further their plot with bribes, weapons, and enticements. What's the remedy? It is bold resistance by the Palestinian nation and groups in order to force out the Zionist enemy and the U.S. through Jihad. All Muslim nations and the world of Islam must support them too," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"The Palestinian armed organizations will stand and continue to resist. Fortunately, this resistance in west Asia is not limited to Palestine and encompasses a vast area and will grow daily. Iran considers it its duty to support Palestinian groups and will help them in any way they can," he stressed.
"A fundamental solution to the Palestinian issue is Iran's proposal: Conduct a poll of all Palestinians in the world, including Muslims, Christians, and Jews—not immigrants who settled in the occupied lands—to choose a govt. That government decides on immigrants and people like Netanyahu," the Leader of the Islamic Revolution noted.
Anyone interested in Iran should take part in elections
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized that anyone interested in Iran and its security must participate in the elections.
Referring to the parliamentary elections, he said that the passionate and conscientious presence of all people in the upcoming election is effective in resolving domestic and international problems.
The Leader stressed: "Everyone who loves Iran, the security of his homeland, and is seeking to solve problems, must be present at the ballot box so that Iranian national resolve and authority can be manifested."
Mass voter turnout essential in parliamentary elections
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the parliamentary elections on February 21, and called the elections a great opportunity for the country and the nation and a threat to the enemies, adding: "Passionate holding of the elections and public presence at the ballot box guarantees the security of the country because the enemies fear the popular support of the system more than its weapons capabilities."
The Leader described the election as a sign of Iran's "national grandeur, authority, and insight" and highlighted: "There are problems and hardships in the country, some of which are caused by sanctions, and some are due to shortcomings but despite these problems, people will come to the polls to honor the system's reputation and preserve the security of the country."
