Eleven civilians killed in aggression by US-led coalition on al-Sha’afa town in Deir Ezzor countryside, in eastern Syria.

Iran Press/ Middle East: Civil sources told SANA reporter that warplanes of the US-led coalition launched an aggression on al-Sha’afa town, under the pretext of combating Daesh terrorists, killing 11 citizens from one family.

Yesterday's massacre adds to tens of previous massacres perpetrated by the said coalition on Deir Ezzor countryside.

In addition to the martyrs, the aggression caused huge damage in the houses and properties.

According to the latest statistics of Deir Ezzor province, since the beginning of 2018, the total number of the residents in the province is 1,037,037.

After breaking the siege imposed by ISIS terrorists on the city of Deir Ezzor in early September last year, the government in cooperation with civil society organizations and professional associations have worked hard to restore life to the city and its surrounding countryside after years of terrorism.

Since it was illegally formed outside the jurisdiction of the UN Security Council in 2014, under the pretext of fighting ISIS, the so-called US-led coalition has been committing massacres against innocent civilians, killing hundreds of people and injuring others.

Recently, Amnesty International said the US-led coalition’s 2017 assault on Raqqa killed hundreds of civilians and reduced the city to rubble.

The coalition's operations in Syria are not authorized by the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad or the UN Security Council. 101/202
