Iran Press/Iran news: Brigadier General Amir Hatami on Saturday called the US oil and economic sanctions against Iran as Washington's 'conspiracy' and emphasized that enemies' plots against Iran are doomed to failure.
General Hatami condemned US economic war against the Iranian nation and underlined Iran's success in defeating the US in economic warfare, Iran Press reported.
Iranian Defense Minister also blasted Washington for designating the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization and describes IRGC as a pioneering force in the war against Terrorism.
"The IRGC as the most pioneering organization in the war against terrorism in West Asia has always been a hero," General Hatami said in Tehran.
General Hatami referred to 40 years of all sanctions and restrictions imposed against Iran by the US and its allies and reaffirmed that: "Defense industries' progress and achievements in the various ground, marine, air and electronic fields are made under the sanctions."
The IRGC was formally blacklisted by the US as a "Foreign Terrorist Organization" following a relevant announcement by US President Donald Trump on 8 April.
Responding to Donald Trump last month hostile move in blacklisting IRGC as a "Foreign Terrorist Organization", Iran immediately declared the US and its military forces as 'state sponsor of terrorism' and 'terrorist groups'.
