Parliament: Tourists visit to Iran doubled in past decade

Chairman of the parliament’s Article 90 Commission said that the number of tourists coming to Iran in the past ten years has been doubled.

Iran Press/Iran news: Chairman of the parliament’s Article 90 Commission Davoud Mohammadi made the remarks while reading parliament's report on the activities of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran on Monday.

Also, It was suggested that the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran would turn to a ministry, Iran Press reported.

The report called on the organization to supports NGOs for attracting more tourists.

It also asked IRIB, specially IRIB World Service, to introduce attractions of different cities of Iran to Iranian people and also to tourists.

IRIB has been asked to do this in cooperation with the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran. 101/201/213
