Lorestan (IP) - Relief operations are underway in flood-hit Lorestan with Iran's Armed Forces providing much-needed relief and aid to flood victims throughout the province.

Iran Press/Iran news: The relief operations are underway in the residential areas of Pol-e-Dokhtar, and Mamulan, in Lorestan province due to efforts of Iran's Red Crescent rescue workers and Iranian armed forces including Iranian army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

According to an Iran Press report, top officials especially IRGC commanders are regularly visiting the flood-affected areas in Lorestan province so that the relief operation will be carried out smoothly and efficiently and as fast as possible.

Mamulan is a town in Pol-e-Dokhtar county, Lorestan Province, where the unprecedented floods have surprised the locals as well as tourists visiting the province for Nowruz.

Meanwhile, flooding in the city of Pol-e-Dokhtar damaged residential homes, public buildings and infrastructure. 101/211/202
