The Iranian Foreign Minister has criticized Europeans for not paying the price for maintaining multilateralism which is in their own interests.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "What is happening is that the US is isolated because of its withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA), and the Europeans are trying [to salvage the deal]. Unfortunately, the Europeans are not willing to pay the price for maintaining multilateralism which is in their own interests."

Zarif added: "So we will see whether Europe is prepared. We have done whatever we can in order to create the necessary international environment in which the actions of the United States have been deplored by the international community as an isolationist [country] and as a lawless behaviour in fact."

Foreign Minister Zarif spoke on the sideline of a symposium on Iran's Foreign Policy held at Tehran University on Sunday.
