Iran Press/Iran news: The most expensive item in the 3rd Baran Auction an internationally recognized unique engraved Quran Mushaf, by Master Raein Akbarkhanzadeh broke the record of artworks' auction in Iran.
The 68 fine artworks for sale by auction included mostly Persian classic style calligraphies by famous Iranian artists, unique Holy Quran volumes and much more, Iran Press reported.
The third Baran Auction was held in Tehran in the main hall of Rayzan International Conference Centre on Friday, 22 February.
Founder and CEO of the auction Mahboubeh Kazemi Doulabi told this auction was a nationwide event for art, culture, research, and economy, which brought public attention to the Iranian-Islamic art of calligraphy and more.
Third event has been held in honor of Master Calligrapher Mirza Gholamreza Esfahani and most of the works was in the style of Persian classic calligraphy. In total 46 items were sold for near 111 billion rials.
Other fine items which were auctioned off were a Calligraphy by Reza Mafi, Calligraphy by Mir Emad Al-Hassani, a unique Sahifeh Sajjadieh book, 10-meter inscription from Qajari era by Mirza Amou Tehrani, calligraphy by Mir Emad Al-Hassani, calligraphy by Hassan Zarrin Ghalam, calligraphy by Faramarz Pilaram, heech statues by Parviz Tanavoli. 101/205/211
