The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has said the US government is a symbol of wickedness, violence, and belligerence in the world.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Leader made the comment in a meeting with senior commanders, officers, pilots and personnel of the Iranian Air Force and the Khatam-ol-Anbia Air Defense Base on Friday morning.

The Leader receives Air Force Commanders

On the occasion of 8 February (19 Bahman on the Iranian calendar), the anniversary of a historic meeting between Air Force commanders and personnel with the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace), on Friday morning, the commander-in-chief of Iran's armed forces, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, met with senior commanders and personnel of the Iranian Air Force and the Khatam-ol-Anbia Air Defense Base.

According to the official website of the Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei chided the United States for continually meddling in the domestic affairs of other countries and plundering their resources. He pointedly added: "The survival of the US regime depends on the exploitation of other countries resources. This is as true today as much as it was in the past. The US government symbolizes wickedness around the world. Interestingly it often complains: Why do you say death to America?"

Death to America means death to Trump, Bolton and Pompeo

According to an Iran Press report, addressing US officials the Leader added: "Death to America means death to Trump, Bolton, Pompeo and a limited number of people who lead and govern the United States. We have no quarrel whatsoever with the American people. However, as long as the US government continues with its wicked and evil ways, the Iranian nation would loudly declare death to America."

Europeans, just like the Americans, can't be trusted

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader said: "There is much talk of Europe and European proposals to Iran these days. My advice is that it is unwise to trust the Europeans. A few years ago, in the middle of negotiations with the 5+1 Group, I insisted in both public and private meetings that I had with officials that the United States must not be trusted. Don't trust their promises, their smiles, and their signatures. Today officials who were involved in the nuclear negotiations come to me and freely admit that the Americans cannot be trusted under any circumstances. As far as Europe is concerned, I am not saying we shouldn't have any relations with Europe, but I do say that it is unwise to trust them.

The people who beat up 'Yellow Vests' lecture us on human rights

Turning to the situation in France, Ayatollah Khamenei said: "On the streets of Paris, gilet jaunes ('Yellow Vests') protesters are beaten up. The people who order this violence, have the audacity to lecture us on human rights. Do you even know what human rights is? Have you ever respected human rights? These people cannot be trusted and respected. We have seen it so many times before. The French can't be trusted. The British can't be trusted, and so on and so forth."

Of course, we do have economic and trade relations with all the countries of the world, barring a few exceptions. We shall continue to have trade and business ties with the world. But we must always bear in mind with whom we sign a treaty, and for what purpose.

11 February (22 Bahman) rallies will 'break' the enemy

Commenting on the national rallies and marches on 11 February (22 Bahman on the Iranian calendar), the Leader said: "We have all seen how other countries celebrate their revolutions. It is usually an official celebration with a military parade on the streets of the capital perhaps, and military aircraft performing  manoeuvres in the sky. But it is only in Iran where millions of people brave the cold wintry February weather, march on the streets and chant slogans for several hours, and this has been repeated every year, for the past forty years. It is truly a wonder and the world is amazed."

The Leader added: "The glorious 11 February rallies and marches will break the enemy - the enemy will be defeated - the national rallies and marches signify the determination of the Iranian people. The presence of masses of people in the rallies signifies the national unity of the Iranian nation."

At 10:00 am Friday morning, hundreds of officers and senior personnel of the Iranian Air Force and the Army, performed a military parade at the 'Alavi school' in full military uniform, renewing their allegiance with the Father of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace). 103/211
