The Iranian Foreign Minister has slammed the upcoming international summit on the Middle East, set to be held in Poland in February, calling it an 'anti-Iran circus'.

Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad Javad Zarif in a memo posted on Twitter on Friday said: "Reminder to host/participants of anti-Iran conference: those who attended last US anti-Iran show are either dead, disgraced or marginalized. And Iran is stronger than ever."

"Polish Govt [government] can't wash the shame: while Iran saved Poles in WWII [World War II], it now hosts desperate anti-Iran circus," Zarif posted on Twitter, according to Iran Press.

Earlier in the day, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the United States would hold an international summit in Poland on    13 - 14 February to discuss cooperation on achieving stability and security in the Middle East. He emphasized that the participants would also focus on ways to make sure Iran was not a "destabilizing influence" in the region.

Asian, African, European, and Middle Eastern states are expected to participate in the summit.

Iran hawks inside the Trump administration have put a lot of pressure on Iran but Tehran has repeatedly emphasized that it will never cave in to the Washington's pressure.   101/ 211 /207
