Iranian President Hassan Rouhani left New York for Tehran on Wednesday afternoon at the end of his four day stay. President Rouhani took part in the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Iran Press/IrannewsRouhani arrived in New York Sunday evening to attend the high profile meeting.

On Monday and Tuesday, Rouhani held meetings with American political elites, his Cuban, Bolivian and Turkish counterparts, head of the International Olympic Committee, director of the International Monetary Fund, Chief Executive of Afghanistan and Norwegian prime minister.

The Iranian president also delivered speeches at the UN General Assembly and a meeting commemorating late South African leader Nelson Mandela besides giving interviews to NBC, CNN and PBS networks.

Moreover, Rouhani met and conferred with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Theresa May.

On the last day of his stay, President Rouhani participated in a press conference and responded to reporters' questions.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Iranian president held talks with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro.

The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 73)  opened on 18 September 2018. The first day of the high-level General Debate is today,Tuesday, 25 September 2018, and is scheduled to last for nine working days.
