Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology said in a closing ceremony of photo competition that " Digital Iran "is to be focused by Rouhani administration.

Iran Press/Iran news:  Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology ,Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi, speaking at the closing ceremony of  a photo competition with theme "accessible everywhere" , emphasised further development of information and communications technology in Iran in the past year, saying all Iranian cities and towns are now benefiting from wide-band fast internet services.

Azari-Jahromi added:  "1242 cities and towns are now connected to wide-band fast internet services, with 54 percent of villages and rural communities also benefiting from fast internet services". He added:  "The ministry of  communications is working hard to realize the concept of a 'Digital Iran'.  This will become a reality in the near future".

 

Referring to the fact  that today all of the Iran's citizens can enjoy high speed internet connections Jahromi went on to say that events  like  "accessible everywhere" photo competition can serve as a good tool to realize  information technology through artistic and cultural means.
