France confirmed its efforts to benefit Iran from the economic advantages of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“We are still committed to implementing all the terms of the nuclear agreement”, The French Foreign Ministry said Wednesday in response to US plans to stop Iranian oil exports, :

“That is why we are currently studying how Iran can benefit from the economic advantages of this agreement”, The French Foreign Ministry added.

The statement was made in conjunction with Turkey’s announcement today that the US embargo on Iran is not binding and that Ankara seeks to avoid unfair steps against Iran.

On May 8, US pulled his country out of the JCPOA, which was achieved in Vienna in 2015 after years of negotiations among Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany).

Following the US exit, Iran and the remaining parties launched talks to save the accord.

Meanwhile, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has underlined that any decision to keep the JCPOA running without the US should be conditional on “practical guarantees” from the Europeans.
