Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made the remarks on Monday at a press conference in Tehran, which was attended by domestic and foreign correspondents.
Saying that the US and Zionist regime's plots to harm the Islamic Republic of Iran have failed, Iranian President noted that the US' withdrawal from Iran's Nuclear Deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was a big mistake.
The President emphasized that Iran is taking steps towards reducing its commitments to the JCPOA to force the European Union to honor its pledges, adding: “If the EU honors its obligations, Iran will reverse its steps to cut the JCPOA commitments.”
"Iranian government has made great achievements despite a huge crisis in the region,” he added.
Rouhani added that the Iranian Government has managed to increase employment rates.
The President voiced his willingness to attend any meeting that can solve Iran’s problems.
He went on to say that Iran enjoys a better situation regarding the rate of the country's exports and imports.
Iran's President stressed that the government has managed to repel economic pressures on people, adding: "The US' sanctions have failed to bring Iran's economy to its knees."
Rouhani also hailed the Iranian officials who fought hard in the battle against the economic pressure.
Iran's President noted that the government is trying to reduce the country’s reliance on oil revenues, adding: “Separating oil revenues from other sources of revenue needs well-planned steps.”
