US Democratic senator Elizabeth Warren has called US congress as 'Complicit' in all Trump's misdeeds.

Iran Press/America: US Democratic senator and presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren has blasted Congress as 'complicit' in the latest scandal involving President Donald Trump’s conversations with his Ukrainian counterpart by “failing to act” after special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

After the Mueller report, Congress had a duty to begin impeachment. By failing to act, Congress is complicit in Trump’s latest attempt to solicit foreign interference to aid him in US elections,” said the senior senator from Massachusetts in a Twitter post on Saturday, reported Iran Press. “Do your constitutional duty and impeach the president,” Warren further demanded from her fellow lawmakers in the highly unpopular US Congress, further accusing Trump of criminal activity.

She also wrote: “A president is sitting in the Oval Office, right now, who continues to commit crimes. He continues because he knows his Justice Department won't act and believes Congress won’t either. Today’s news confirmed he thinks he’s above the law. If we do nothing, he’ll be right.” This is while Warren has emerged as an early advocate of Trump’s impeachment, insisting that former special counsel Mueller had laid out sufficient evidence of obstruction of justice in his final report.

Her Twitter post came following Friday reports revealing that Trump had asked the president of Ukraine during a phone call in July to wage a probe against the son of Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden. The controversial US president has called for a probe into Biden’s ties to Ukraine during his time as former president Barack Obama’s vice president. Republicans have criticized his 2016 efforts to have the Ukrainian president sack a prosecutor who was investigating a natural gas company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch, whose board members included his son, Hunter.

According to US press reports, however, it is Trump’s connection to Ukraine that have been under harsh scrutiny in recent days over a whistleblower complaint from the country’s intelligence community that reportedly details a troubling 'promise' the American president made to a foreign leader. It was later reported that the whistleblower’s claims specifically centered on Ukraine.203
