Iran Press/Iran news: In a message on Wednesday, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed his condolences to the family, colleagues, and followers of the prominent Shi’ite religious cleric, Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Asif Mohseni, who passed away due to an illness on Monday.
In his message, the Leader appreciated the services of this great cleric in Afghanistan, Iran Press reported.
Ayatollah Mohammad Asif Mohseni, the leader of the Shi’ite Religious Council of Afghanistan was one of the most prominent religious leaders of the country.
The demise of Ayatollah Mohseni was followed by reactions both inside and outside of the country.
Afghan politicians including President Ashraf Ghani and former President Hamid Karzai described his passing away as a major loss for the country. 101/211
