Iran Press/Iran news: In this exhibition Iranian artists and craftsmen from across the country present their handicrafts including Persian carpets and rugs, hand-woven mats, cashmere weaving, wood carvings, metal carvings, pottery and other handicrafts and works of art.
Mohammad Reza PourAhmadi, the governor of East Azerbaijan province, in an interview with Iran Press News Agency said: "The Tabriz Exhibition, as well as contributing to the local economy, is very important culturally, helping cultural interactions."
The 9th Tabriz Handicrafts and Tourism Exhibition started on 2 July and will wrap up on 6 July.
The ancient city of Tabriz was declared a world craft city of carpet weaving by the World Craft in 2016. It also gained the title of 2018 Islamic Tourism Capital last year. 101/211/205
