Two Iranian chess grand masters appear on FIDE top 100

For the first time in history, Parham Maqsoudlou and Alireza Firoozja, Iran's national team chess players ranked among the top 100 players in the world.

Iran Press/Iran newsThe World Chess Federation (Federation Internationale des Echecs) known as FIDE has released the latest top ranking of the Iranian men’s chess player, suggesting that Iran’s chess achieved a new record, and for the first time in Iran's history, there are two representatives in the list of the world's top 100 chess players.

Alireza Firoozja, 15-year-old Iranian star, is to be listed among the world's top 100 chess players. For the First time, he is ranked 95 in men Standard Top 100 Players March 2019, Iran Press reported.

Prior to Firoozje on the 4th place, Parham Maqsoudlou was ranked among the world's top 100 to be recognized as the second place among the world's young players.

 Also,  Seyyed Mohammad Amin Tabatabai ranks 13, on the same level.

Furthermore; Sarasadat Khademalsharieh has managed to rank 15 among the top 100 women chess players.

Generally, Iran's chess team stands 24th in the total world rankings.104/203
