Hormuz Strait (IP) - In the main phase of the 'Zolfaghar 1401' exercise, the navy units of Iran's Army carried out a coastal defense exercise on the first night of the tactical phase of the military drill.

Iran PressIran news: The Spokesman for the 'Zolfaghar 1401' exercise Brigadier General Alireza Sheikh said that in the first phase of the drill the navy rangers used optimized weapons to carry out the operation and implemented new tactics and defense scenarios at night.

"The rangers, using the Dehlawiyeh missile, the Tau missile, and the Misaq shoulder-fire missile, carried out the coastal defense operation against the attack of the hypothetical enemy," General Sheikh explained.

The military drill began on Thursday night with 'Ya Zahra' as the codename, in the Jask region and east of the Hormuz Strait, southern Iran, up to the 10°N orbit in the northern Indian Ocean.

General Sheikh said Diver's exit from submarines and warships, heliborne operation of the naval helicopters to capture the coast, and the clearance of the coast for the entrance of the other forces are to be carried out through beaching operation.

According to the drill spokesman, at this stage, the army forces of the army will carry out bridging and situation development operations.
