Iran Press/Middle East: The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire over the past 24 hours has risen to at least four, with dozens of others wounded amid heightened tensions in separate areas of the occupied West Bank.
Israeli forces on Thursday shot and killed two Palestinians during a demonstration in Jenin against the demolition of a Palestinian home, Al Jazeera reported.
One of those killed was named by official Palestinian news agency WAFA as 19-year-old student Yazan Abu Tabekh. The second was identified as Palestinian policeman Tareq Badwan.
Jenin Governor Akram Rajoub said the slain police officer had been standing outside a nearby police station when he was shot.
The occupying Israeli regime has been implementing pressure against Palestinians following last week's release of US President Donald Trump's so-called Middle East peace plan, which critics say greatly favors Israel and was rejected by the Palestinians.
By backing Israeli annexation of Palestinian lands and denying Palestinians their rights, Donald Trump only perpetuated the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Iran as a true supporter of Palestinians has redoubled its diplomatic efforts to counter the much-vaunted 'Deal of the Century' as Donald Trump unveiled his so-called Middle East peace plan in a White House launch on January 28.
All Palestinian political parties have unanimously denounced and rejected the ‘Deal of the Century’.
