Iran Press/ Middle East: Al-Fayad commended the Islamic Republic of Iran for its assistance during the occupation of ISIS and the eradication of this terrorist group.
The Iraqi official stated that the support of the Republic of Iran for the Iraqi people and the important role of Generals Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis in defeating ISIS will always be recorded in the history of this country.
Zarif also referred to filing a criminal case against the US government for the martyrdom of commanders Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis by the Islamic Republic of Iran in international legal bodies and said that we would follow up on this issue seriously.
Zarif and Faleh al-Fayad also discussed the latest developments in bilateral relations, the developments in Iraq, the legal decision of the Iraqi government, people and parliament over US troops to withdraw from the country and other issues of interest.
