Abuja (IP)- The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) on Tuesday met with some of the parents of the children that the Nigerian soldiers brutally murdered during the 2015 Zaria massacre.

Iran PressAfrica: In his meeting with the parents of the martyrs, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky recalled some of the inhuman acts committed by the Nigerian military, namely shooting pregnant women and children as well as burning people alive to death.

Sheikh Zakzaky said the soldiers that conducted the atrocities had no concern about religion.

"Some of their words cannot be repeated actually. What they uttered was worse than cursing companions. Some of them spoke against Allah and his Prophet. We can never repeat what the soldiers uttered. They laughed at us when we preached to them to think about the day of judgment."

The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria said: ''The genocidal attacks of the Nigerian military against us is a clear sign that we are on the right path."

Sheikh Zakzaky's wife, Zeenah Ibrahim who could not walk on her legs due to the deterioration of her health condition attended the closing remarks in a wheelchair.

According to the medical report, Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife are living with bullet fragments lodged in their bodies. Despite that on 28 July 2021, the State High Court in Kaduna State acquitted him of all the allegations against him by government and ordered his discharge immediately. The Federal Government of Nigeria did not give him his International Passport to allow them to travel abroad for proper medication.
