Yemeni Ansarullah leader condemned the Quran burnings that took place in Western nations, criticizing their moral decline.

Iran PressMiddle East: The actions of the Zionist regime lobby in Western countries, from burning and tearing copies of the Holy Quran, are the highest form of blasphemy and an assault on Islam and Muslims, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi said on Friday during a speech dedicated to commemorating the holy day of Ashura.

The Yemeni leader called for the cessation of all diplomatic and economic ties with the countries whose authorities allowed for the burning of copies of the Holy Quran.

"If the Islamic world does not react in such a manner, that would be a great failure by the Islamic World to protect the holiest sanctity for Muslims," said Al-Houthi.

The status quo of humanity is in shambles, he underlined. "The situation is very dangerous, crises-stricken, and sensitive; the West is heading toward a highly dangerous future."

"Western civilization is savage; it rejects human values and morals, all the while spreading injustice and brutalizing whoever it wants without safeguarding the sanctity of religious symbols," the Yemeni Resistance leader underlined.

He also went on to call on the Saudi-led coalition of aggression to cease its aggression on Yemen and deal with the issue of prisoners. He also demanded that the Yemeni people stay on high alert.

"The resilience of our people over the past nine years of war, blockade, propaganda, and the attempts to sow discord is divine intervention," Al-Houthi underlined.

The Ansarullah chief also underlined that Yemen unwaveringly stood with Palestine and the Palestinian cause, stressing that it always strives to cooperate and coordinate with the Palestinian people and resistance, as well as the entire Axis of Resistance.

"What we seek from our cooperation with the Axis of Resistance is to achieve the desired goal of liberating Palestine and saving the Palestinian people," he added.

In the context of recent events, a statement was issued by the Ashura processions condemning the heinous act of burning copies of the Holy Quran in the capital city of Sanaa and other Yemeni governorates. The statement emphasized that commemorating this occasion is an expression of their love, loyalty, and connection to Imam Hussein.

The statement also reaffirmed their principled stance in supporting the Axis of Resistance against the Zionists, with the ultimate goal of defeating them and liberating the holy sites in Palestine.

Furthermore, they expressed their unwavering commitment to the causes of the Islamic World, especially the Palestinian cause. They maintained their opposition to the Zionist regime occupation and the arrogance of the United States.

Massive popular processions took place in several Yemeni provinces to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein. The participants carried banners sporting slogans against the US and the Zionist regime occupation while calling for the boycott of the US and the Zionist regime goods.

Sanaa saw massive demonstrations last Friday in protest of the burning of the Holy Quran.

The protesters strongly criticized the Swedish government for allowing extremists to repeat the burning of copies of the Holy Quran, viewing it as an act of war against Islam and Muslims.

Statements from the protesters called for boycotting Swedish, American, and the Zionist regime goods in response to this grave violation of Islamic sanctities and urged the people of the Islamic nation to engage in massive protests to defend their religion.
