Sana'a (IP) - The foreign minister of the government of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen said that the school of Martyr Soleimani is a school that has strengthened the Islamic resistance groups in the region.

Iran Press/ West Asia: On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Major General Qassem Soleimani, Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press in Sana'a said that Martyr Soleimani was the initiator of the resistance in the region.

The foreign minister in the government of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen emphasized that the resistance groups, having such a school and a strong base, launched the Al-Aqsa storm operation in occupied Palestine and the military operation in the Red Sea at the highest level.

Sharaf Abdullah stated that the spread of the culture of the Islamic revolution in the Islamic world and the efforts of Martyr Soleimani to train the revolutionary forces can change the developments and this is echoed in the power of the resistance axis.

The Yemenis said that the presence of martyr Soleimani in Syria, Iraq, and other countries gave the resistance forces and their leaders the strength to gain experience.

Noting that Martyr Soleimani's school is a school for resistance forces, he added: "Anyone who reads Martyr Soleimani's biography and thoughts will understand that the path of the venerable commander will not vanish by assassination."

The Yemeni official stated that Soleimani was able to take lasting steps with his culture of resistance, resourcefulness, and charisma, and now the results can be seen in the axis of resistance. Sharaf Abdullah stated that Soleimani was a symbol of resistance to the world, the commander was a brave man for the resistance and his name and memory will be remembered forever because of his fighting, and sacrifice.

Martye Major General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Second-in-Command Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by the former US President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

General and his companions were highly popular because of their key roles in eliminating the US-backed ISIS terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria. 

Donald Trump, the then-US president, ordered his assassination while Soleimani was in Baghdad at the invitation of Iraqi political officials. 219
