The production of the world's largest hand-woven kilim was ended in Qir and Karzin County of Fars Province, southern Iran.

Iran PressIran news: The head of Qir and Karzin County's Department of Heritage, Culture, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Mohammad Jafar Ebrahimi, announced the end of the weaving process of the largest hand-woven kilim in the world in the city.

Ebrahimi said on Sunday that the kilim was 7*15 meters in size, with 105 square meters of area, which ten weavers weaved in the village of Hurz, which is part of the Qir and Karzin county.

"The weaving of this kilim was ordered by Qatar and carried out by the Ariafar Kilim and Gabbeh Cooperative Company," he added. 

"The texture of this kilim included 66,105 meters of thread, he said.
